To our FHC family:
I am deeply saddened to tell you our good friend and FHC Hall of Famer Dick Kanyan has passed away. He died on June 23 from complications of cancer. He lived in The Villages and started one of the first teams to join FHC in the early 2000's. Dick was a great player and a great manager for many years in our league. Two of the best known teams he played and managed from The Villages were Beef O Brady and the Frankie Brin Teams. He will be missed. Personally, Dick and I became good friends especially in the past few years working with our FHC Tournaments there in his home town. Dick and my close friend Floyd Williams watched the Florida Athletic Coaches Association High School All Star Football game there at the old high school just 2 December's ago. I always enjoyed our many conversations during the years. He was very loyal to FHC and just a good man. What more can I say? I should be so lucky when my time comes. God bless his family.
