False accusations during election

Managers, sadly we have learned that a former Board Member has gone on Facebook and called Mike Knowles dishonest, and accused him of taking some 10-12K of money away from FHC every tournament.  Don't you think that is quite convenient just before an election is taking place?  I, as the Treasurer of FHC, handle virtually all money that comes into our treasury.  Also, it is impossible because we do not take in that kind of money anyway.  We pay for umpires, awards, Hotel rooms, Director fees, and so on.  Man ...

  Managers, I have a couple of things for you:   There seems to be some confusion on our experiment to play the 65 Teams on the same weekend of the 50 Teams.  Each person does have the opportunity to be on 2 different Rosters because of this change.  But, you can only be on one Roster on a tournament weekend.   Example:  If you are 65+ in age you can play on 65 Team, but can also play on a 60+ Team.  If you are 70+ in age, you can play on a 70+ Team, but also a 65+ Team.   The only age group l ...

FHC HOF Member Dick Kanyan has Passed Away

To our FHC family:   I am deeply saddened to tell you our good friend and FHC Hall of Famer Dick Kanyan has passed away.  He died on June 23 from complications of cancer.  He lived in The Villages and started one of the first teams to join FHC in the early 2000's.  Dick was a great player and a great manager for many years in our league.  Two of the best known teams he played and managed from The Villages were Beef O Brady and the Frankie Brin Teams.  He will be missed.  Personally, Dick and I became ...
